ABOUT THE ROLE
Performs administrative functions and offers service to all patients who visit the clinic, providing assistance and guidance in the registration process. Ensures compliance with both the service and billing standards established by the Clinic, as well as patient expectations. Collects, organizes, and presents data to resolve specific situations and/or problems. Anticipates the client’s needs and channels them with management so that action and/or anticipatory measures are taken, according to established standards.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Responsible for receiving and caring for the patient, either in person and/or by telephone, offering help according to their particular needs.
Guides the patient about the services provided by the clinic, the billing process for medical plans, and informs them about outstanding balances.
Responsible for generating (creating) the file, registering in the system and updating the socio-demographic data of all patients who visit the clinic.
Responsible for verifying patient check-in and confirming attendance.
Responsible for processing the eligibility of procedures with insurers in the system, updating the information and carrying out the corresponding changes.
Verify the deductible that applies to charge for services provided to the patient.
Responsible for ensuring that patient documents are properly completed and signed, for billing purposes for medical services.
In charge of placing the completed records in the assigned areas to be used by the nursing area and/or the patient’s doctor.
Provides support to the nursing and billing department regarding medical record management.
Responsible for entering data according to the diagnosis and/or procedure codes identified by the doctor on the “super bill” sheet.
Responsible for verifying the “petty cash” delivered and returning it to the shift supervisor when delivering the cash.
Responsible for carrying out daily accounting of the transactions carried out and validating with the Finance department.
Responsible for filing the documents generated in the medical visit and placing the billed files in the audit file in numerical order.
Provide and confirm appointments to patients.
Performs general office tasks such as filing, coding, photocopying, collating invoices and general documents.
Other tasks related to the position.
